Terms of Service

By using Chronos you accept the terms below. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What the app is

Chronos is a personal calendar with organisation features: events and reminders, weather, countdowns, medication reminders, tracking of maintenance and subscriptions, the Greek name-day calendar, and information about on-duty pharmacies and hospitals in Greece.

2. Third-party information

Weather, on-duty pharmacies and hospitals, the name-day calendar and the medicine list come from external sources (Ministry of Health, regional health authorities, pharmacists' associations, meteorological services, Wikipedia, Greek National Organisation for Medicines public data).

• Information is provided exactly as published by those sources.
• We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness or availability. Sources may be delayed, change format, or stop.
• Before travelling to an on-duty pharmacy or hospital, call ahead. Schedules change at short notice.
• Coverage is geographically limited. Where there is no data, the app shows no list.

3. Notifications

Notifications depend on the operating system. iOS may delay or limit them (Low Power Mode, Focus, the per-app limit on pending notifications). Do not rely solely on the app for critical reminders, especially medication ones.

4. Your data is your responsibility

Your data lives on your device and, optionally, in your own iCloud account. We keep no copies and cannot recover anything if it is lost. Make sure you have working backups (iCloud Backup or a computer).

5. Acceptable use

The app is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

• reverse engineer, decompile or modify it,
• use it for automated bulk data extraction,
• use it in a way that breaches the terms of the third-party sources or the law.

6. Intellectual property

The code, design, graphics and texts of the app belong to Christos Dimakis. Third-party data belongs to the respective providers. OpenStreetMap data is made available under the ODbL licence. Trademarks shown (for example subscription logos) belong to their owners and are used for identification only.

7. No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will operate uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will remain compatible with every future version of iOS.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or harm resulting from inaccurate third-party information or from a notification that was not delivered.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by consumer protection law, nor excludes liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Greek law. As a consumer you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence.

10. App Store

Distribution takes place through the App Store and is also subject to Apple's terms. Apple bears no responsibility for the app and has no support obligation.
